Dear 2016-2017 School Year Parents:
Welcome to the new school year! You will soon receive your registration packets for the 2016-2017 school year, as they were recently mailed to your homes.
When you go online to register your student(s), please don’t forget to make your annual donation to the Walnut Creek Education Foundation (“WCEF”) wcefk12.org/donate. Federal, state and local taxes do not fully cover the programs our students need, resulting in a funding gap. WCEF bridges that gap, providing programs our students would otherwise not have.

If you donate to WCEF at or above the annual ask amount before September 1, you will be automatically entered to win a $500 Costco gift card (donated generously by a WCEF parent).
Want to not only preserve, but enhance educational opportunities for our public schools? Consider joining our Scholar Circle. As a Scholar Circle donor, you help enable our foundation to move beyond “bridging the gap” to support new and innovative programs. Annual Scholar Circle memberships start at $1,200.  This year, Scholar Circle members will be offered VIP access to all WCEF events throughout the year, starting with our Scholar Evening next month.
WCEF’s Scholar Evening will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28. Come meet and greet Walnut Creek School District’s new Superintendent, Marie Morgan, and Acalanes Unified High School District’s Superintendent, Dr. John Nickerson, at an elegant cocktail party held on the private rooftop above Va De Vi in downtown Walnut Creek. Members of WCEF’s Scholar Circle for the 2016-2017 school year receive two complimentary tickets to this event.Tickets are $75 per person for non-Scholar Circle donors. space is limited. To RSVP, please email WCEF’s Executive Director, Morgan West Hansen, at morganhansenwcef@gmail.com as soon as possible.
Working together, we look forward to continuing to preserve and enhance public education in Walnut Creek. Please consider joining us!
